When/Where

2010

March 5, 2010
Palmer Street Coffeehouse, 4 Palmer Street, Plattsburgh, NY. 7:30 PM. An acoustically stunning former synagogue, this has been converted into a Unitarian meeting house and, the first Friday of every month, one of Plattsburgh's best-kept musical secrets. This is a wonderful venue, with home-baked goodies and an enthusiastic audience. We had a wonderful time here in December, 2008. Come join us for a return engagement at this great coffeehouse.
June 5, 2010
Vermont Dairy Festival, Enosburg, VT. FREE. This annual celebration of Vermont's dairy industry, marked by parades, food, fun, fireworks, and a midway and entertainment, has been held for over 50 years. We'll be appearing for two sets at 1:00 and 2:30PM.
June 11, 2010
Private party, Ferrisburgh, VT.
June 19, 2010
Rattling Brook Bluegrass Festival, Rt. 109, Belvidere, VT. This must be Vermont's longest continuously running bluegrass festival, going on for more than 20 years. It's a one day affair, from late morning till dusk, and seems to always draw a full crowd despite almost no advertising. Low admission price, there's a snack bar for hot dogs and hamburgers, a covered stage, good sound, and excellent local and regional bands. They usually bring in at least one top-notch band from out of state, depending on who's available. Highly recommended.
June 26, 2010
Private party, Goshen, VT
July 4, 2010
Private party, Whitefield, NH
July 23-24, 2010
Danby Olde Country & Bluegrass Festival, Powers' Field, 245 Tifft Road, Danby, VT. We've been hearing good things about this festival for several years, and this year we'll get to see and hear for ourselves. Contact: Tary Jesmonth @ 802-293-5515, or email him.
July 31-Aug. 1, 2010
Champlain Valley Folk Festival, Burlington, VT. This is one of the country's premier folk festivals, a musical gem that Vermont is lucky to call its own, with enough concerts, workshops, activities, good food and fun to leave you breathless. This year it will be held on the Burlington waterfront. This will be our first time as a band at this festival, which specializes in Vermont and Quebecois music, and we are so looking forward to this. We'll be there both days, with several performances and workshops scheduled. We can guarantee that you'll have a good time.
Aug. 13-14, 2010
Lake Champlain Bluegrass Festival, Alburgh, VT. This has turned into one of the region's premier bluegrass events in just a few years. We've played here several times and always had a great time, and are looking forward to being back. Besides us, this year's festival includes Cherryholmes, Acoustic Blue, The Spinney Brothers, and lots more. More information as we get closer to the festival.
Aug. 29, 2010
Private party, Brandon, VT
Sept. 3-5, 2010
North Branch Bluegrass Festival, Bridgewater, VT. Always a great time at this realtively new, perfectly situated and well-run festival. This is a beautiful natural valley next to a river, with wide green fields for camping and RVs, and terrific music. This is also turning into a field picker's dream festival. Highly recommended.
Sept. 18, 2010
Burke Mountain Music Festival, 223 Sherburne Lodge Road, East Burke, VT. 3:30PM — 9:15PM. This year Burke Mountain is putting on a mini-bluegrass festival featuring Hot Flannel, Banjo Dan and the Mid-Nite Plowboys, Gordon Stone, and Big Spike. Admission is $15 and the concert starts at 3:30PM. This one looks to be great music and a fun time.
